Investing in vulnerable children means directing specific resources, attention, and support to children who face higher risks of adverse outcomes due to various factors that put them at a disadvantage. Investing in vulnerable children aims to address these challenges and create opportunities for them to thrive and reach their full potential.

Our Campaigns

We are committed to supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable children in Africa through the provision of basic needs including access to a quality education at a level sufficient to lead an independent life. At the core of this is our commitment to tackling anything that hinders a child’s right to exist safely or creates an obstacle to them achieving their full purpose as a human being.

Donate to Jacobs Well Child Africa.

There are many vulnerable and disadvantaged children waiting for generous people like you to invest in them and their future. Please help break the cycle of poverty now. We are very appreciative of your donation.

Our Values

JWCA is a Christian charity with an overall ethos to put into practice Christ’s love towards others and further demonstrate this by seeking out the needy and prioritizing these needs without discrimination.

“God has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Fairness and honesty in line with Christ’s commandment to judge in righteousness. (Proverbs 31:9). Conducting all transactions and interactions without unfair bias (in line with the charity’s priorities).

Act Justly

Christ’s Love

We believe every individual is created equal before God regardless of their circumstances. We put Christ’s love into action by treating every individual with respect, dignity and kindness amongst JWCA staff, partners and beneficiaries. The charity makes every effort to find where the greatest need is and where it can make the greatest impact so that its limited resources can benefit as many as possible.

Humility

We prayerfully ask for your support in our endeavors, in order to achieve our aims and we exercise due diligence in how we invest for best outcomes. We bear in mind that each child is fearfully and wonderfully made and deserves human dignity, we therefore do not discriminate based on a child’s background or personal circumstances that may have led them to where they are.

Mercy (Defending the rights of the poor, needy and vulnerable)

JWCA aims to be a voice for the voiceless using its resources to alleviate unnecessary pain and anguish in marginalized children. It also imbibes the belief, that each child has the right to live freely and develop its potential regardless of the circumstances that led them there. JWCA aim to ensure that any intervention made is in the best interest of beneficiaries and in accordance with child rights. This is encouraged through continuous feedback from beneficiaries and their communities that feeds into how the charity directs its resources and prioritizes service delivery. JWCA is committed to raising awareness of issues affecting children and therefore will support child friendly policies and legislation at local and national levels.

Integrity

All financial transactions are done via the banking system in line with CC guidelines and compliance regulations. Financial reports i.e. Annual accounts and Annual returns for the company, are all up to date and filed in a timely fashion in the public domain with Companies House. JWCA is committed to fulfilling its statutory requirements as defined by Charity commission. The new GDPR 2018, will enable the charity to further demonstrate its integrity by putting good record keeping, data protection and consent at the forefront of all its activities and communications with regular record keeping reviews.
